Royal Ink -- Custom Writing

Custom writing for clothing companies is essential.  If you are starting your own line then it's a must for people to get familiar with your name and to see it in new and unique ways.  There are many designers out there and most of them are using the same fonts, if you are looking for a kick ass name branded tee then you are going to have to step out of the box and get creative with the letters.  Here is a piece we recently did for the great guys at Turmoil Nation.

 

1. Sketch out the writing.

 

2. Once we scanned our drawing to Photoshop we use the pen tool and start tracing. 

 

3. We adjust our writing by adding 2 parallel lines that flow with the T and then we manipulate our 'sketch' layer to make sure our letters are aligned perfectly...or use a ruler :)

 

4. Finish up all the letters using the pen tool.

 

5. Here we simply changed the color and added a drop shadow. 

 

6. Once you have all the elements in place you can rearrange them as you see fit.  We move nation to the bottom and since those tribal lines came out so sick we decided to make them bigger and bolder!

Apaprel design for Xzibit

This is a design we did specifically for Xzibit as he was getting ready for a world wide tour.  We had lots of fun doing this, we met with him at his Palms hotel suite here in Las Vegas, NV and he took the time to show us a sneak preview of one of his music videos! The design business is great!!!
